Hi, I’m Kirsten Seth; pelvic floor and orthopedic physiotherapist, runner, climber, eater of all the desserts and musical theatre aficionado. As a twin Mom, and Mom of 3 boys in 3 years; I understand the unique challenges and limitations on time and resources that come with being a mom. I also know the importance of empowering women to achieve the goals that matter to them.


I was lucky enough to be working in the pelvic health realm before my first pregnancy to know the role pelvic physiotherapy can play in helping with pregnancy, labour, incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain.


Moving Mamas came to be because of the gap and disconnect in women’s healthcare, specifically as it relates to pelvic health. Too many women are not given the tools and information to birth confidently, as I was lucky enough to do. Similarly, there is a lack of awareness on what can be done to help prevent and manage conditions related to pelvic pain, incontinence and prolapse.


Whether you are a mom who can’t get out the door because of the kids, a busy professional who has pelvic pain, a pregnant athlete looking for some guidance or someone looking for a fitness class that fits your schedule, Moving Mamas is here to help.

We offer a variety of appointment times (yes we have some evenings and weekends!) and virtual options when it is hard to make it in person (aka when the kids are sick)

Beginning with a private 30 minute stretch and mobility session, followed by a 30 or 60 minute massage and finished with a 30minute spa bath soak, tea and baked goods from local bakery.

STRUCTURE:


Beginning with a 1:1 Initial assessment to tailor a program to your goals, you then have the option to join a small group class or get access to online workouts.

1:1 reassessment sessions occur every 4 weeks.


INVESTMENT:


Total: $220 for 8 weeks. (Claimable through insurance)


This includes a 1:1 Initial Physiotherapy assessment and 1 reassessment appointment every 4 weeks. These appointments are claimable as physiotherapy.

  • YES. WE DIRECT BILL OVER 30 INSURANCE COMPANIES.


are children ALLOWED TO ATTEND?


  • MOST DEFINITELY. THERE ARE PLAY, FEEDING AND CHANGING FACILITIES AVAILABLE. THERE IS NO CHILD MINDING SO YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CHILD WHILE IN AN APPOINTMENT OR CLASS. AN ADDITIONAL CARER IS WELCOME TO COME TO STAY WITH YOUR CHILD WHILE YOU ARE IN YOUR APPOINTMENT.


WHEN SHOULD I ATTEND PELVIC PHYSIOTHERAPY IF I AM PREGNANT?


  • IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS WITH INCONTINENCE, URGENCY OR PAIN YOU CAN ATTEND AT ANY POINT IN YOUR PREGNANCY. IF YOU ARE DOING WELL, RECOMMENDED TREATMENT WOULD BE 2X IN THE SECOND TRIMESTER AND AT LEAST 2X DURING THE THIRD TRIMESTER.


HOW SMALL ARE THE FITNESS CLASSES


  • IN PERSON CLASSES ARE CAPPED AT 3 PEOPLE. MORE CAN ATTEND VIRTUALLY


WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?


  • LIFE HAPPENS AND YOU MAY NOT ALWAYS BE ABLE TO ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT. TO RESPECT THE PRACTITIONER AND OTHER CLIENTS, PLEASE GIVE 48 HOURS NOTICE TO CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT. MISSED APPOINTMENTS WILL INCUR A CANCELLATION FEE OF 50% OF APPOINTMENT FEE. BEING LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT MAY CAUSE THE APPOINTMENT TIME TO BE SHORTER. THE APPOINTMENT FEE WILL NOT CHANGE.
